Season 1, Episode 13: Ending a Session On Time by Julie Merriman | Mar 5, 2020 | Podcast, Supervision | 2 comments 2 Comments jill cohen on March 8, 2020 at 3:56 am nice podcast. tho i wish you had some one liners to say to clients at the end. like “we have to stop now”. or “we need to finish up”: or something. Reply Julie Merriman on March 8, 2020 at 2:03 pm Hi Jill, Great idea! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. My ending comments in session really vary to reflect what’s happening in the moment. However, I do use, “I’m cognizant of the time and want to get to ‘X’ before we wrap up.” or “As we wrap up the session, help me understand what you’ll be walking away with today.” or “So between now and when you see me again, I’d like to encourage you to (then I give a quick homework assignment like noticing when a thought occurs).” I hope that helps. And, thank you so much for listening and commenting. Take care of you, Julie Reply Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
